Tennessee Launches Veteran Ready Business Recognition Program to Honor Employers Supporting Service Members, Veterans, and Their Families
NASHVILLE, TN – The State of Tennessee is proud to announce the launch of the Veteran Ready Business Recognition (VRBR) program, an innovative initiative designed to celebrate and acknowledge businesses across the state that are committed to recruiting, hiring, and retaining Tennessee's Service Members, Veterans, and their families (SMVF). This program extends its recognition to all businesses, not solely those that are Veteran-owned, underscoring a broad commitment to supporting our military community.
The VRBR program aims to identify and highlight businesses that demonstrate intentional efforts to create a supportive and welcoming environment for SMVF, recognizing the invaluable skills, dedication, and experience they bring to the civilian workforce. By recognizing these "Veteran Ready" businesses, Tennessee seeks to foster a stronger ecosystem of support for its military community and encourage more employers to adopt best practices in veteran employment.
Our Service Members, Veterans, and their families have made tremendous sacrifices for our nation, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure they have every opportunity to thrive upon returning to civilian life. The Veteran Ready Business Recognition program is a testament to Tennessee's dedication to our military community, spotlighting businesses that are leading the way in providing meaningful employment and support.
Businesses recognized through the VRBR program will demonstrate a commitment to various facets of veteran readiness, including but not limited to:
- Recruitment strategies tailored to reach SMVF.
- Hiring practices that recognize and value military experience and skills.
- Retention efforts that provide a supportive and inclusive workplace culture for SMVF.
- Support for military spouses and families in employment and career development.
