About Us

MTJDC was founded in 1999 and is located in Columbia, TN. We provide juvenile detention services to males and females in middle and southeast Tennessee, Davidson and Montgomery county areas. We provide safe housing for juveniles ages 10 - 18 as they await court disposition or transportation to a permanent facility. We promote the individual welfare of each juvenile in custody and provide 24 hour supervision, access to counseling services, ministry services, recreational activities, clothing and hygiene supplies, meals and snacks and provide medical services as needed. MTJDC believes in treating juveniles with the utmost respect, while encouraging positive pro-social behaviors and attitudes that instill a sense of good will, positive self esteem and community citizenship characteristics.
