Join us on February 17th for a Graphic to Print Workshop with Barry Daniels (CFS Printing) and Amy Whidby (Graphic Designer)
This workshop is designed to help beginning, novice, and aspiring Graphic Artists to understand the difference between designing for print vs. web. It should also be helpful to Graphic Artists already in the role but mainly do web and social media platforms with print media being a minimal part of their business or tasks.
This workshop will cover the following:
Web vs. print Intro
- What is the difference between doing web/social media design vs. design for print?
- File resolution requirements between the two.
- How can you tell your file is high enough resolution to produce a high quality print project?
- RGB vs. CMYK and the difference between the two
- Do you know what spot color means?
- Do you know what a PMS chart is and its use?
- What is the difference in file types; .eps, .ai, .jpg. .png?
- Setting up your template for design; guides for cut size and safe zone.
