Belk Fall Charity Sale
Description
Belk invites you to donate, shop and save during this four-hour, in-store fundraising event. Shoppers must purchase a $5 ticket from one of our partner charities; 100% of ticket proceeds will stay with that local charity and customers will receive that $5 ticket value off their total purchase. [REMINDER: 100% of sale proceeds do not go to charities, they receive ticket proceeds only.]
The November 3rd shopping event encourages customers to shop for a great cause while taking advantage of in-store promos on rarely-discounted brands including Free People, Frye, Calvin Klein, Coach, Vince Camuto and others. Through this private ticketed event, customers will receive $5 off their first purchase and the first 100 customers will receive gift cards ranging from $5 - $1,500.
Since 2012, the Belk Charity Sale has contributed more than $50 million in donations to over 6,000 charities across the South, and in 2018, we are looking forward to continuing this tradition and building on our 130-year legacy of strengthening our southern communities.

- The November 3rd in-store event runs from 6-10 a.m. and encourages customers to shop for a great cause while taking advantage of in-store promos on rarely discounted brands including Free People, Frye, Calvin Klein, Karen Kane, Coach, Vince Camuto and more.

How can someone participate in Charity Sale?
- Over the past few weeks, partner charities have sold $5 tickets to community members, or customers have purchased tickets at local Belk stores. These sales will continue until Charity Sale on November 3rd. All event attendees must have a ticket and all revenue from in-store ticket sales will be equally divided amongst participating charities in each store.
Who does Charity Sale benefit? How?
- Belk engages thousands of nonprofit organizations each season, including local affiliates from Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Schools, Toys for Tots, Habitat for Humanity, etc. 100% of ticket proceeds go to local charities.
- Customers will also receive the $5 ticket price as a discount when they check out, and the first 100 customers in each store will receive a Belk gift card ranging from $5 - $1,500.
Does a customer have to make a purchase to donate?
- Charity Sale is a great program because customers donate to a local nonprofit before they come into the store to receive $5 off their purchase. Once they purchase a ticket, they have already stepped up to support a cause. The donation is a win-win for everyone!
How else does Belk give back to the community?
- With a 130-year legacy of service, we pride ourselves on being a part of the fabric of our customer’s lives. We recently launched an outreach program, Belk: Project Hometown, which was built to strengthen southern communities.
- In March, we finished building our first home with Habitat for Humanity and one of their families, and we’ve recently broken ground on our second home in Charlotte, N.C.
- Throughout the year, customers will have the opportunity to participate in point-of-sale campaigns which will benefit organizations across our footprint. Stay tuned to see how we will improve communities with the help of associates and customers.
