Leadership Maury Class of 2017 needs your help!

Children in Maury County are hurting and there is not a lot we can do about it.  But there is a small project that Leadership Maury Class of 2017 has taken on that will make a difference.  You see, Department of Children's Services (DCS) has two small rooms that are in a truly sad state.  These rooms are where children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect must stay until placement is found for them - sometimes overnight.  These rooms are also used for supervised visits while DCS tries to reunify the family.
As you can imagine, both these situations are terrifying and difficult for these young victims.  The State has no money in the budget to do anything with this space.
Leadership Maury Class of 2017 is going to renovate those rooms to create a comforting, nurturing space for these children.  At minimum, we plan new paint, storage areas, furnishings, TV's, video games, toys, and books.  We want to stock the room with goodies for the kids.   Class members are donating our own money and effort to make this happen.  But we need help.
Our goal is to raise $8000 by the end of May 2017 to make this project awesome.  The more money we raise, the more we can do.  We have big ideas because we want to make a big difference.
